What to Expect When You Consign with Skyman Avionics
Have used avionics sitting on a shelf after a panel upgrade? Or equipment at your shop that you’ve been meaning to sell?
At Skyman Avionics, we make the process simple. You send us your equipment, we handle the listings, buyer questions, sales, shipping and you receive payment as your items sell. Here’s what to expect from start to finish.
1. Send Us Your Equipment List
Start by sending us a list of the items you’d like to sell. Include model numbers, any known condition information and accessories such as trays, connectors or wiring harnesses. Photos are helpful, too.
You don’t need to put together a polished inventory spreadsheet. A straightforward list gives us a starting point to review your equipment and discuss what makes sense to consign.

2. Review Your Estimated Payout
After reviewing your list, we’ll provide an estimated payout amount for your equipment.
This gives you an idea of what you can expect to receive before you ship anything. The amount we discuss is your estimated payout—not simply an advertised selling price. We’ll answer any questions so you understand the estimate before moving forward.

3. Sign the Consignment Agreement
If consignment sounds like the route for you, let us know and we’ll send you a link to the consignment agreement to review and sign.
The agreement outlines the terms of the arrangement so everyone knows what to expect. Take a moment to read it, and let us know if you have questions before signing.

4. Ship Us Your Items
Next, carefully package your equipment and ship it to us. Include the accessories and documentation discussed during our review and let us know about any known issues or changes to your original list.
Good packaging helps protect your equipment in transit. If you’re unsure how to pack a particular item, reach out before shipping.
Once your equipment is here, we take care of preparing and managing the sales listings, communicating with buyers, and shipping items when they sell.
5. Get Access to Your Consignor Portal
You’ll receive an email inviting you to access your consignor account. The welcome email includes instructions for setting your password. Once that’s done, you can log in using your email address and new password.
Inside the consignor portal, you’ll be able to track your active and sold consignment items. That gives you a convenient way to check what’s still available and what has sold without having to request an update each time.

6. Receive Your Payout Receipt and Payment
As your items sell, Kelsey will email you a payout receipt and your payment will be sent.
You don’t have to wait for your entire collection to sell before receiving payouts. The process continues as individual items sell, with an email receipt to help you keep track of your payments.

Ready to Get Started?
That’s it: send your list, review your estimated payout, sign the agreement, ship your equipment and track your items through the portal. We handle the sales process from there.
Whether you’re an aircraft owner with a few removed components or a shop with shelves of used avionics, we’d be happy to review what you have.
Send Skyman Avionics your equipment list and let’s put those unused avionics back to work.
Noteworthy: We've heard some shop owners say, "I like to keep these around in case I have a plane that needs them." Through consignment, you still have full access to your inventory if that happens. As long as it's still available, we can ship it back to you same day. ($50 fee for this in the first 90 days. After that - no charge)
